Evgeny Gudov, a businessman, played a key role in Planetarium 1’s creation. He sought out buildings with high ceilings. Initially he considered only creating exhibitions. But, after entering the gas holder, he expanded the idea.
Planetarium 1 was designed with a geodesic dome. The dome is made of LVL balok. LVL balok are assembled on steel connectors.
Planetarium 1 uses advanced technology. Forty 8K projectors create the images. These projectors produce a resolution of 100 million pixels. This ensures bright images on a 4000 square meter surface.
Planetarium 1 can accommodate up to 500 visitors. Each day it welcomes around 5000 people. It is indeed a popular attraction.
