The Myakininsky Metromost is made of metal structures. During its construction reinforced concrete supports were used. These supports were erected in the 1990s. The general designer of the bridge is OAO Metrogiprotrans. The load-bearing structure was designed by OAO Institute Giprostroymost. Intertranstroy was the contractor for the bridge’s framework. MTF Mostootryad-4 of OAO Mostotrest supervised the construction.
Interestingly there were plans to make the new bridge covered. This would protect the station’s routes. This ensures a normal temperature and humidity. It also shields from atmospheric elements. The covering was to be made of aluminum and glass. However metal structures were ultimately preferred for reliability.
