This faculty plays a vital role in training specialists for the Russian auto transport and road system. The faculty’s history began after a major change on October 7, 1947. There was a need to rebuild and develop the country’s road and bridge infrastructure. The war had damaged much of it. This need spurred the creation of the faculty to train engineers quickly. 135 students from the Moscow Automobile and Road Institute were transferred to the Leningrad Engineering and Construction Institute. They were in their second and third years of study.
The Automobile and Road Faculty prepares engineers and economists. They learn to manage complex specializations. The faculty graduates qualified specialists. These graduates work to maintain the auto transport and road systems throughout Russia.
