“What’s a Citronaut?” someone whispers behind me. We’re standing here, right in front of the ΣΧ house at the University of Central Florida, and that question takes me back. You see, ΣΧ has a long, proud history, but UCF itself? Well, they had some interesting ideas about mascots. Thankfully, they eventually came to their senses and abandoned the idea of a Citronaut – a bizarre hybrid of an orange and an astronaut. Imagine that on a football field! No, the UCF Knights are a far more fitting representation for this university, and for good reason. You see, UCF is enormous. It’s one of the largest universities in the entire United States. This means a whole lot of students, a whole lot of energy, and a whole lot of potential. And right here, in this ΣΧ house, you’ll find a microcosm of that UCF spirit: ambition, camaraderie, and a dedication to making a difference.
