It demonstrates the remarkable progress that was made by the refugee community. Agios Athanasios is a modern and well-developed town. It’s also home to two ancient Macedonian tombs. These tombs were discovered in 1994. They date back to the 4th century BC. They offer a fascinating glimpse into the region’s rich history.
