جامع الفريان is not just a place of worship. It is a center for education and community engagement. Sheikh Sulaiman Bin Abdulaziz al-Rajhi built it. جامع الفريان was inaugurated in 2004 by King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. At that time, he was the Governor of Riyadh Province.
The architecture of جامع الفريان is captivating. Its design incorporates the Andalusian style. Two minarets reach a height of fifty-five meters. The main dome has a diameter of 28.8 meters. It rises thirty-seven meters above the ground. A central interior hall features a glass ceiling. This allows natural light to flood the space. The total building area covers 43568 square meters. The mosque stands on 13260 square meters of land.
