Did you know that TSV Pfersee Augsburg was founded in 1885? It is a club steeped in tradition. For over 145 years, TSV Pfersee has been a sporting home in the heart of Augsburg. The TSV Pfersee grounds include three football fields. There is also a restaurant. The area is surrounded by the Pfersee, Kriegshaber, and Oberhausen districts. The inner city is nearby. This is the Stadtjägerviertel, located to the left of the Wertach river.
TSV Pfersee welcomes over 500 members from more than 20 nations. Their families are welcome too. The club has several divisions with activities in various sports. The football division includes youth teams for boys and girls. There are also men’s and women’s teams.
The gymnastics division offers rhythmic sport gymnastics. There is also children’s gymnastics. Fitness gymnastics, Fitness 60+, and Pilates are available. Young and old can find something suitable here. TSV Pfersee is also active in table tennis, badminton, and volleyball. Hobby teams are offered in each of these sports.
TSV Pfersee places great emphasis on working with children and teenagers in all divisions. Teamwork and helpfulness are important. Fair play is essential. Learning from victories and defeats is key. What better place to teach these values than through sports? Fairness, gender equality, openness, tolerance, and mutual understanding are the club’s commitment.
The men’s football team achieved sporting success. In the 1940s, they were South Bavarian Gauliga champions. The women’s football division played in the Regionalliga Süd for a time. TSV Pfersee also has teams in rhythmic sport gymnastics, table tennis, and volleyball.
In the 1943/44 season, TSV Pfersee was one of four Augsburg clubs in the Gauliga Südbayern. For the 1944/45 season, they joined with a Deutsche Reichsbahn company team. They formed a war sports association called Reichsbahn-SG Pfersee. In 1972/73, the club made a one-year guest appearance in the Bavarian Landesliga Süd.
Alongside TSV Schwaben Augsburg, the women’s and girls’ teams are very successful. They are among the most successful in the Swabia region. The first women’s team briefly played in the Regionalliga Süd. However, they were relegated within two years. They went from the Bayernliga to the Landesliga.
TSV Pfersee has two men’s and one junior table tennis team. In the 2007/08 season, both the first and second men’s teams were promoted. They moved from the Kreisliga to the Bezirksliga. As of the 2010/11 season, the first men’s team plays in the 2nd Kreisliga. The second team plays in the 4th Kreisliga. This is the thirteenth and lowest league.
TSV Pfersee uses a new Lumosa LED floodlight system. The national climate protection initiative supports this. The German government has initiated and funded projects since 2008. These projects help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative’s programs cover a wide range of climate protection activities. These range from developing long-term strategies to providing concrete assistance and investment funding. This variety guarantees good ideas. The National Climate Protection Initiative helps to anchor climate protection locally. Consumers, companies, municipalities, and educational institutions benefit from it.
