Can you feel the echoes of history whispering around us? Right here, before us, stands the Tianmu San Yu Gong, a beacon of faith for over two centuries. Originally a humble earth god shrine, farmers seeking prosperity built San Yu Gong during the Qing Dynasty. It was around 1750, amidst the sprawling rice paddies. Imagine those early settlers, placing stone upon stone, their hopes and prayers imbued in every brick. Over time, Tianmu San Yu Gong’s reputation for divine favor grew, drawing ever larger crowds of devotees. After the retrocession of Taiwan, the small shrine was relocated. In 1947, it found its new home on Tianmu East Road, transforming into the grand temple complex we see today. The main hall, dedicated to the Five Grain God, stands at the heart of Tianmu San Yu Gong. To the left, you’ll find the halls of the Seven Immortals and Guanyin Buddha. To the right are the halls of the Holy Mother in Heaven and the Fude Zhengshen. Each year, on the fifteenth day of the ninth lunar month, the temple bursts with vibrant celebrations, a testament to its enduring significance in the lives of the Tianmu community. Step inside, feel the weight of centuries of devotion, and witness the tapestry of colors, aromas, and prayers. Tianmu San Yu Gong, a testament to faith and tradition, awaits you.
