His childhood nickname, “Hemad” (shirt in Swabian), reflected his slender build. He later earned the moniker “Il Biondo” (the blond one) in Italy. Haller’s talent propelled him to international fame, representing Germany in three World Cups. His goal at Wembley in ’66 remains a highlight, though Germany ultimately lost.
