“Those pillars have seen centuries come and gone,” whispered a tourist, gazing in awe at the Southern Library. Interestingly, on the east side, they replaced about a quarter of the pillar stones, while interior pillars required half their stones to be replaced. This meticulous five-month restoration, completed in December 2024, brought the Southern Library back from the brink. Today, it stands proudly, ready to inspire awe and wonder in visitors for countless years to come.
