Transformed from headquarters to a museum, the CLP Pulse building stands as a testament to Hong Kong’s electrifying journey. CLP Pulse is housed in a Grade 1 listed building. It was built in 1940. The building was formerly CLP’s Head Office. Now, it showcases Hong Kong’s electricity development. It also tells the story of the Kadoorie Family.

ElectriCity traces the power industry’s evolution. It shows the impact on Hong Kong society. The story spans from the 20th century to the new millennium. Our Home Our History is presented by The Hong Kong Heritage Project. It looks at the Kadoorie family’s contributions. They aided post-war rehabilitation and development. Meet young craftspeople at Traces of Human Touch. This is curated by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office. Each artisan shows how traditional craftsmanship passes down through generations.

The CLP clock tower became a local landmark after its completion in 1940. It was part of the CLP Head Office complex for over seven decades. The clock tower’s design reflects the Art Deco movement. It is one of the few pre-war modernist architectural examples left in Hong Kong.

A 2004 report described the CLP clock tower as a symbolic building. It stated it symbolised the CLP company. The report added it was a landmark of the district. It also reflected the Kadoorie Family’s irreplaceable status in Hong Kong.
