Regarding marine life, what comes to your mind? You are standing in front of the COEX Aquarium. It is located in the Starfield COEX Mall in Gangnam District. The COEX Aquarium opened its doors in 2000. It houses over 40000 animals from 650 species.

The COEX Aquarium features 90 exhibition tanks. These tanks are grouped into fourteen discovery zones. There are six themed areas. Visitors follow a preset path. Each exhibit features a dedicated tank. Visitors can view fish species from the theme location. The exhibits include birds and otters. Appropriate vegetation is also present.

The undersea tunnel exhibit is a highlight. Visitors walk through an acrylic tunnel. The tunnel passes through a tank holding 2000 tons of water. Sharks and sea turtles swim around visitors.
