The dream of a state-of-the-art music center materialized thanks to the generous contributions of Conrad Prebys. His two donations totaling $9 million made this architectural marvel a reality. The building is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a carefully orchestrated symphony of design and engineering. Built from the inside out the Conrad Prebys Music Center prioritizes acoustics. Renowned acoustician Cyril M Harris designed the Concert Hall. It was his final project before retirement. The Concert Hall’s asymmetrical triangular surfaces diffuse sound beautifully. The Conrad Prebys Music Center boasts not only the 400-seat Concert Hall but also a 170-seat Recital Hall and an Experimental Theatre.
