The Lichtenhäger Findlingsgarten isn’t just any garden. It is a special collection of stones. The garden stretches across 1.5 hectares. It is located in five areas of Lichtenhagen’s town center.
Here, you’ll discover 40 stone displays. These consist of 600 erratic blocks. Stone chains made from 1,000 cobblestones connect the blocks. There are also 400 more erratic blocks. These are arranged in stone groups and chains at individual locations. All the stones in the Findlingsgarten come from the local area. Seventy-five of them are from the Elmenhorst/Diedrichshagen golf course.
Each stone has a story. The Findlingsgarten explains the name, age, origin, and discovery site of each rock. You will gain insights into geology, astronomy, and botany. The Findlingsgarten combines preservation efforts, local beautification, and biotope protection.
The Lichtenhäger Findlingsgarten features stone arrangements. These depict carefully chosen zodiac signs. You can view 38 images. These represent the northern and southern constellations.
