Have you ever felt the warmth of a community embracing you? Roskilde Vineyard is more than just a church. It’s a haven a place where people find solace and fellowship. Located in Roskilde it’s a vibrant and growing congregation. It started as a small church plant. It faced the challenges of establishing itself in Denmark. The Allens David and Solvej co-pastors poured their hearts into its growth. They persevered despite the difficulties of church planting. They describe their journey as a testament to grace and God’s endurance.

Roskilde Vineyard initially met in Roskilde’s Kulturhuset. It transitioned from a church plant to an independent church. It boasts a congregation of around 50 mainly young people. Many of these young people found faith in Christ through the Vineyard. It’s remarkable how many of them became leaders. The church has a strong sense of community. Members frequently spend time together outside of services fostering strong bonds.

Roskilde Vineyard isn’t confined to its building. Its outreach extends to the wider Roskilde community. They engage in various activities. This includes a playgroup for parents and a free secondhand shop for families in need. They even share pancakes and cocoa with young people in the nightlife. This shows their commitment to serving the people of Roskilde. They actively reach out to those who may not normally attend a church service.

The Vineyard faced a significant challenge. Their meeting space the Misicon Nord area was slated for demolition. They embarked on a search for a new home. They found a promising building a former bakery known as the ‘Guldbager’. It required a considerable investment but the location was ideal. Its visibility and accessibility make it a good spot for the church. The building includes a shop a small kitchen and a large kitchen space. They envision transforming the spaces into a church hall and a cafe.

The purchase of the Guldbager building needed a fundraising effort. The church community rallied together. Donations came in as they sought to purchase and renovate the building. The project represents a step forward in the church’s mission to serve Roskilde. It’s a testament to the community’s commitment and their collective pursuit of their shared vision. The Roskilde Vineyard continues to grow and bless its community. It remains a beacon of hope and fellowship in Roskilde.
