These individuals, hailing from various congregations, found themselves questioning certain teachings, particularly about baptism. Unconvinced by the practice of baptism by aspersion, even for infants, they sought answers in the scriptures. They embraced the concept of baptism by immersion for adults and the presentation of children, as they believed the Bible intended. Driven by their convictions, figures like Guillermo Villanueva, Germán Varas, and Francisco Anabalón, along with their fellow believers, took a courageous leap. They stepped away from their former churches to establish a new mission. It was in 1937 that the Iglesia Pentecostal Apostólica formally came into existence.
