Crafted in 1937 this house stands as a testament to architectural vision. Welcome to Landhaus Tappert a jewel nestled in Potsdam’s Nauener Vorstadt. This area is known for its high living standards. Landhaus Tappert is part of the Estorff Siedlung. Otto von Estorff and Gerhard Winkler designed this settlement between 1929 and 1939. It comprises 36 picturesque houses.

Landhaus Tappert mirrors the architectural style of the Estorff Siedlung. Smooth plastered facades meet red brick bases. Gently sloping hipped or gable roofs complete the look. Large roof surfaces create a sense of calm. Casement windows sit flush with the facade. Dark green shutters adorn some windows. The roof’s red hue complements the garden’s green. The facade is bright. It aims to give a feeling of lightness.

The architects behind Landhaus Tappert collaborated with garden designers. Foerster Mattern and Hammerbacher likely shaped the garden. The grounds cover approximately 1185 square meters. It offers space to revive a historic garden design.

Inside Landhaus Tappert original features meet modern living. The house has seven rooms. Six are on the ground floor. A separate living area suits guests or older children. It includes two rooms and a washroom with a toilet. The entrance area also has a guest toilet.

The main living area features four more rooms. Multi-pane windows and doors connect inside and outside. High-quality mosaic parquet floors grace this area. They could be restored. The living area spans about 33 square meters. It features an open fireplace and an original tile stove. Both are functional. Views stretch across the house and into the garden.

A terrace links the house and garden. The upper floor holds one room and two attic spaces. The attic offers about 120 square meters of potential living space. The house has a partial basement. It provides storage a 1991 gas heating system and connections.

Landhaus Tappert requires renovation and modernization. An outbuilding can serve as a tool shed or small garage. The house retains many original details. These include casement windows and green shutters.
