Established nearly a decade ago this park isn’t just a place for fun. It’s a testament to collaboration. The Seventh Day Adventist Church and the National Capital District Commission joined forces to create something truly special. Located about 15 to 20 minutes from the city center at 14-Mile in the Sogeri Hills it’s Papua New Guinea’s only theme park.

Imagine yourself surrounded by lush manicured gardens. Tranquil lakes stocked with fresh fish invite you to cast a line. You can even hire fishing rods. The park boasts the southern hemisphere’s largest collection of orchids. Over 3000 varieties wow visitors year-round. December to March offers peak blooming though.

But the Adventure Park is more than just flowers and fish. It’s a wildlife haven. Spot Papua’s iconic birds like the Raggiana bird-of-paradise with its magnificent plumage. See tree kangaroos hopping through the trees. And don’t miss the star attraction the park’s resident saltwater crocodile. Every Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm the crocodile enjoys a public feeding. It’s a sight you won’t soon forget.

For thrill seekers there are waterslides a Ferris wheel that provides scenic views and a merry-go-round. It’s fun for the whole family. The park even offers educational tours for schools and groups.

The Adventure Park Port Moresby isn’t just a theme park. It’s a blend of nature recreation and education. It’s a place where families create memories. It’s a vibrant part of Papua New Guinea’s culture. So explore it all. Enjoy every moment. You’ll leave with memories to last a lifetime.
