IBW University of Applied Sciences. It is also known as IBW Hogeschool. It began in the 1980s. The university’s full name is Instituut voor Bedrijfswetenschappen. IBW focuses on business studies.
The university teaches economics. It also covers finance and leadership. IBW is accredited. It awards bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Master’s degrees have been awarded since 2017.

IBW University provides several Bachelor programs. These include Accountancy and Financieel Management. There is also Marketing Management and International Tourism Management. Other options include Business and Law, Human Resource Management, and Bedrijfskunde. Students can also study Bedrijfskundige Informatica, Informatica, or Mining en Resource Engineering.
IBW also provides master programs. These include a Master in Business Administration MBA. Students can also study Master Bedrijfsrecht.
Like many private schools in Suriname, IBW once charged tuition in foreign currency. During the economic downturn of 2016, the Surinamese dollar devalued. IBW saw a drop in new student enrollment. It was about half as many students.
