The Grand Green Osaka South District Rental Building will reach 181 meters. It will feature 39 floors. Its completion is slated for 2024.
The Grand Green Osaka The North Residence is planned to be 172 meters tall. It will have 46 floors. The completion is expected for 2026.
Cielia Tower Nakanoshima will stand 168 meters tall. It will have 46 floors. It is expected to be completed in 2026. Cielia Tower Osaka Horie will reach 164 meters. It will have 46 floors. Its completion is expected in 2024.
Park Tower Osaka Dojimahama is planned to be 162 meters tall. It will feature 40 floors. Its completion is slated for 2027. The Yodoyabashi Station East Area Urban Renewal Project will be 150 meters tall. It will have 31 floors. It is expected to be completed in 2025.
Several buildings are proposed for construction. The Nakanoshima 5-Chome Redevelopment West Building is planned to be 205 meters tall. It will have 57 floors. Its completion is planned for 2031.
The Nakanoshima 5-Chome Redevelopment East Building will be 197 meters tall. It will have 52 floors. Its completion is planned for 2030. The Umeda 1-Chome Central District Redevelopment is projected to be 192 meters tall.
The Osaka Gas Building West Wing will be 150 meters tall. It will have 33 floors. Its completion is expected in 2027.
The Koraibashi 1-Chome Redevelopment will also be 150 meters tall. It will have 31 floors. Its completion is set for 2030.
Before Abeno Harukas Osaka had many other tallest buildings. Each one marked a new era in the city’s architectural history.
The Osaka Obayashi Building held the title in 1973. It was 120 meters tall. The Osaka Kokusai Building followed from 1973 to 1977. It stood at 125 meters. The Hankyu Grand Building then took over from 1977 to 1979. It reached 127 meters. The Osaka-Ekimae Daisan Building was the tallest from 1979 to 1986. It stood at 132 meters.
Twin 21 Towers and OBP Castle Tower shared the title from 1986 to 1992. Both were 157 meters tall. ORC 200 Prio Tower was the tallest from 1992 to 1993. It stood at 167 meters.
Osaka Bay Tower held the title from 1993 to 1995. It reached 200 meters. The Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building was the tallest from 1995 to 2014. It stood at 256 meters.
