In 1991, this necropolis, this city of the dead, began to reveal its secrets. The Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, alerted to the whispers of the past, began an excavation that would unearth seven graves. These weren’t just holes in the ground. They were portals to a time long gone, each artifact a story waiting to be told. A team from the German Mining Museum in Bochum, drawn by the allure of the unknown, meticulously worked to uncover the stories held within the earth.
