The contract for constructing the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Statue Bust was awarded to the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. The project costs ₹783 crores.

The memorial will be accessible from Cadell Road and SKS Marg. It will connect to Chaitya Bhoomi for easy crowd movement. The memorial project costs ₹425 crore on 12 acres. Its centerpiece is a 25,000 sq ft stupa around a pond. A dome-like structure with 24 stone ribs will be at the plot’s center. An Ashoka Chakra will cover the memorial. A 39,622 square feet interactive museum will display aspects of Dr. Ambedkar’s life. Parking for 400 vehicles will be available.

The stupa is a significant feature of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Statue Bust memorial. It will cost ₹110.95 crore. The stupa will be 140 feet tall. Its circumference will measure 110 meters. The ribbed ceiling resembles Buddhist Chaityas. An eight-tier bronze canopy represents the Buddha’s eight-fold path. It covers 2,400 square meters. A lotus pond sits at the dome’s base.

A Vipassana meditation hall is planned. It can seat 13,000 people. The Gallery of Struggle will depict events from Ambedkar’s life. A 50,000 square feet library will also be present.

The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Statue Bust faced controversy after the foundation stone was laid. Ambedkar’s family members were unhappy with the memorial’s design. Prakash Ambedkar wanted a “think tank institution”. Anandraj Ambedkar suggested a 360-feet tall statue. Leaders wanted a technical committee of experts to finalize the design. They proposed a State of Equality facing the ocean.

The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Grand Memorial is aesthetically designed. It features a promenade along the seafront. The bronze Statue of Equality will be 350 ft tall. It will stand on a 100 ft pedestal. A spiral ramp provides access. The total height will be 450 ft. Renowned artist Ram Sutar designed it.

The main attraction is a 25,000 sq ft Chaitya or Meditation Hall. It is a dome with a 24 stone ribbed ceiling. It is built around a lotus pond. The pedestal houses an interactive museum. An auditorium with a capacity of 1000 seating is part of the plan. Exhibition Halls, Research Centre and Lecture Halls will be available. A massive Library and Conference Halls also feature. The Gallery of Struggle depicts Ambedkar’s life. More than two-thirds of the space is reserved for landscapes and gardens.

The state government approved the construction of a 350-ft tall statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Ghaziabad’s Ram Sutar will create the statue. The statue will match the 25 ft replica. The memorial aims to accommodate 15,000 visitors per hour. Sixty-eight percent of the space is designated as a green zone.
