This is Germany’s only museum dedicated to Picasso! The Picassomuseum is a treasure trove of lithographs and linocuts. It also has some rare proofs and test prints, even some that exist in just one or two copies. One of the museum’s historic buildings once served as a former residence of a prominent M\u00fcnster family, the Druffelschers. This building survived the bombing that devastated many others in 1945. While the Druffelschers’ home was demolished, the front of the building remained, and the foundation was incorporated into the museum. You can see how the old and the new blend together. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions exploring Picasso’s life and works. The museum’s collection allows you to get a feel for a diverse perspective of Picasso’s work: one that’s not only focused on his famous paintings!
