The Vastra Skravlinge kyrka, a beacon of faith in the heart of Malmo, whispers of a rich history. Built between 1862 and 1863, it replaced a medieval church that was believed to date back to the early 13th century. This church, a testament to the area’s past, didn’t merely disappear. If you look closely you can see the subtle difference in the color of these old stones compared to the rest of the building. The current facade, a whitewashed canvas, is adorned with a portal in vibrant yellow brick. While a modern touch, it still harmonizes with the old, a testament to architectural elegance across generations. Around it, a sprawling churchyard stretches out, a tranquil space offering comfort and reflection, a sharp contrast to the bustling city just beyond its gates.
