The church was founded by Brother Ernest Owusu Badu, now an elder. He started preaching the gospel to a small group, sharing his faith with those around him. The church slowly grew, welcoming more members and gaining momentum. By 1980, sixty people would gather for services. Even when Brother Badu left to study in the United States, the church continued to thrive. Brother Peter Donkor stepped up, preaching for several years before embarking on his own studies in Austria. The Asafo Church of Christ remained strong. The message of the church spread beyond the walls of the building. The community embraced its spirit, finding comfort and guidance within its doors. The church went on to ordain elders and deacons in 2004, showing a progression in its structure and purpose. Today, it stands as a vibrant and thriving church, a testament to the power of faith and perseverance.
