“Osiahene” echoes through the halls a proud slogan that encapsulates the spirit of Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School. Here at Dichemso in Kumasi, we stand before an institution dedicated to empowering young women. Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School is named after Nana Serwaa Nyarko. She was the late Queenmother of Asante. Otumfoɔ Osei Tutu II was consulted for the honor.
The Ghana Education Service established Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School in October 2004. Mrs. Betty Oppong-Duku was the first headmistress. The school began with 324 students and 12 teachers. It occupies the former site of Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School.
Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School aims for academic excellence and moral uprightness. The school’s mission is to create a conducive environment.
