Did you know Admiralty Secondary School was established in 2002? It first opened at Evergreen Secondary School. Two years later, it moved to its current location. That is here at 31 Woodlands Crescent.

Admiralty Secondary School quickly made a name for itself. In 2006, only four years after opening it gained niche status in Robotics Enterprise. This showed the school’s focus on technology. The school enhances its STEM curriculum. STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. This equips students with the skills to embrace technology.

In 2014, Admiralty Secondary School introduced its Applied Learning Programme. It is called Design Thinking through Innovation and Technology. It teaches students electronics, programming, and coding skills. Students learn to empathize with users through Design Thinking.

The Learning for Life Programme started in 2015. It is called Nurturing Mindful Leaders Through Community Outreach. This program helps students develop leadership skills. It teaches them to be responsible caring citizens.

2018 was another big year for Admiralty Secondary School. An alumnus Chng Yee Sin Renee received the Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence. Also the school’s Indoor Sports Hall was completed. This gave the school another space for learning and growth. It helps develop students holistically.

The school motto is To be a Guiding Light that Shines. The school crest is mainly blue. The lighter blue shows the sky. The darker blue shows the sea. The sea means the vastness of knowledge. The sky means the breadth of enterprise in students. The triangle shape of the crest stands for stability. The apex looks like an arrow. This arrow can break through barriers. The lighthouse on the crest shows that every student should be a guiding light. The six beams around the central figure stand for the school values.

Admiralty Secondary School offers many CCAs. These include badminton netball rugby track and field and wushu. Students can also join the National Police Cadet Corps or the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps. There are also groups like the Guzheng Ensemble Modern Dance and English Drama. Robotics Art and Crafts and Digital Media are also offered.
