Did the Christian Divine Church always stand here so proudly? No. The Christian Divine Church has a rich history, stretching back to its founding in 1959. It all began with Prophet Apostle John Taylor. He was expelled from the Methodist Church in Tarkwa. Undeterred, he founded the Christian Divine Church. He and his wife, Madam Dorcas Taylor, started with just thirty-nine members. Now the Christian Divine Church boasts over twenty thousand members and numerous branches across Ghana. The church’s 65th anniversary was a testament to its enduring strength. The theme was “Christ is the foundation of the church”. The celebration took place at the John Taylor School Park in Tarkwa. The Christian Divine Church isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a vital part of the community. It provides not only spiritual guidance but also practical support. It addresses the basic human needs of the people it serves. The church’s impact extends beyond its walls. It has touched the lives of countless individuals who, in turn, have contributed to Ghana and the world. The Christian Divine Church has a vision for the future. It plans to establish schools in its regional headquarters. These schools will nurture a generation equipped to serve both God and their nation. The church’s commitment to education reflects its dedication to holistic growth.
