Beneath Ghana’s bright sun stands Perez Chapel International. It is more than just a church. It’s a testament to faith and perseverance.
Perez Chapel International began humbly. Bishop Charles Agyinasare founded it as Word Miracle Church International in 1987 in Tamale. Imagine services held under a tree. Picture a congregation driven by pure faith.
In 1994, the church’s headquarters moved to Accra. Seventy people attended the first service. Bishop Agyinasare and his wife Rev Mrs Vivian Agyinasare faced many challenges. He pastored without a salary for two years. His wife’s teacher income sustained them.
But their faith never wavered. The church grew rapidly. Perez Chapel International needed a bigger space. Members sold their possessions to support the church. They sacrificed motorbikes, bicycles, and jewelry.
In 2011, Perez Chapel International inaugurated the Perez Dome. This 14000-seat temple stands as a symbol of growth. By 2013, the church boasted 50000 members in Accra. What started as a small gathering under a tree became a mega-church.
Perez Chapel International has expanded far beyond Accra. It has 400 local branches in Ghana. Sixteen are in Accra alone. The church also has branches in 16 countries. It continues to grow.
The church owns Precious TV a Christian television station. Perez Chapel International also runs Perez University College. It enriches the community through education.
Bishop Agyinasare’s vision extends beyond the church. He aims to raise morally upright youth. He wants them free from corruption and social vices. He uses church resources to impact society positively.
Perez Chapel International is a story of sacrifice. Bishop Agyinasare once said the church was built on sacrifice. Members gave what they had to build God’s house.
The journey of Perez Chapel International is inspiring. It teaches that with faith, determination, and sacrifice, anything is possible. It embodies the power of faith and community. Today, Perez Chapel International stands tall. It is a beacon of hope in Accra and beyond.
