The entrance to Thien Canh Son Cave is fairly small. You might have to crouch a little to avoid hitting your head. Once inside, you will descend into the first chamber. The highlight here is the tens of thousands of gleaming stalactites. They hang down from the cave’s roof. They look like the dome of a Baroque theater. Imagine hundreds of hanging lights.

There aren’t any mysterious stories about the formation of Thien Canh Son Cave. It was formed by the erosion and deposition of limestones over millions of years. Water erodes calcium crystals in limestone. The crystals then combine on the ceiling and ground to create stalagmites and stalactites.
Remember to bring only essential items. Wear comfortable clothing and sports shoes. A torch might be useful because it can get dark in some areas. A helmet is recommended for your protection. Water and light snacks are also a good idea.
