Imagine the Dragon King’s wedding echoing through the ages right here in Thien Cung Cave. This isn’t just a cave. It is a palace carved by nature and steeped in legend. Thien Cung Cave is also known as Heavenly Palace Cave. It sits on Dau Go Island. This is about 4 kilometers from Tuan Chau Harbor.

Long ago, locals faced a terrible drought. Their crops withered. A brave couple and their beautiful daughter May sought the Dragon King’s help. May’s beauty captivated the Dragon Prince. They celebrated a lavish wedding that lasted seven days and nights right here in Thien Cung Cave. Dragons danced. Elephants and lions pranced. Even pythons and eagles joined the festivities. May bore the Dragon Prince 100 children inside this very cave. She bathed them in the cave’s clear ponds. When grown, half the children explored new lands. The rest stayed to guard their homeland with their father.

For years, the entrance to Thien Cung Cave remained hidden. Jungle covered it. Only stories kept the legend alive. Then, in 1993, fishermen seeking shelter from a storm stumbled upon this magical place. Since 1998, Thien Cung Cave has been open to all.

Inside Thien Cung Cave, prepare to be amazed. The cave spans 10000 square meters. Light illuminates the stalactites and stalagmites. These formations took millions of years to form. Pass through a narrow crack. Four huge pillars rise before you. Look closely. You may see birds, fish and human figures etched into the stone. The east cliff displays a grand scene of fairy-tale characters.

Listen closely. Some say the wind whistling through the cave sounds like the Dragon King’s drums. Can you hear the echoes of that ancient wedding?
