Perhaps the best way to start exploring Guangzhou is here at Dongxiaonan Station. This is a key point on Line 2 of the Guangzhou Metro. Before its opening, Dongxiaonan Station was known as Dongxiao Nanlu Station. The name translates to Dongxiao Road South Station.
Dongxiaonan Station opened on September 25, 2010. It provides easy access to the Haizhu District. You will find the station at the junction of Dongxiao Road South and Qiaogang Road.
Let’s take a look around Dongxiaonan Station. This underground station has two levels. Level 1 is the concourse. Here, you’ll find customer service, shops, vending machines, and ATMs. Level 2 houses the platforms. Platform 22 heads towards Guangzhou South Railway Station. Platform 12 goes toward Jiahewanggang.
Notice the side platforms. The doors open on the right for one and on the left for the other. This design is called a Spanish solution. Exits A and B lead to Dongxiao Nanlu. Exits CC1 leads to Dongxiao Nanlu. C2 leads to Qiaogang Lu.
Close to Dongxiaonan Station is South Noble Garden. Also nearby is the 7 Days Premium Guangzhou Xiaogangwan Dongxiaonan Subway Station Branch hotel. Though reservations might not be available right now.
