Originally known as Sportanlage Grödig, the stadium opened in 1989. Back then, it held only around 1,000 fans. SV Grödig was in the lower leagues. Who would have thought they would reach the Austrian Bundesliga?
The stadium has expanded significantly since then. This reflects the club’s rise. It also shows the growing support from fans. The stadium evolved with the team’s success.
In 2007, the first major addition was built: the grandstand. This connected the pitch to training facilities. A walkway was built to improve access. In 2008, an additional 300 standing spaces were added.
During the 2010-2011 winter break, the east stand was built. This added 755 more places for fans.
The promotion to the Bundesliga in 2013 was a game-changer. The main stand was expanded. Infrastructure improvements were made around Das.Goldberg Stadion. A roundabout was built to ease traffic on match days. A new road was built to access the stadium and training facilities. Now, there are over 1,100 parking spaces. There are also almost 20 spaces for buses.
Today, Das.Goldberg Stadion has a capacity of 4,128 seats. You can feel the energy of the fans.

Sadly, there aren’t any tours of Das.Goldberg Stadion. But you can walk around most of it during a match.
