Jadavpur Vidyapith is a government-aided, co-educational day school. It offers education in both English and Bengali medium. The school is affiliated with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. It aims to cultivate constructive thinking in its students. The goal is to foster both vivacity and virtue. This helps students develop good personalities.

Jadavpur Vidyapith encourages participation in extra-curricular activities. Students can explore art and craft, music, and various hobby classes. They also compete in drawing, recitation, cricket, and quiz events. Indoor and outdoor games and sports are also popular.

Jadavpur Vidyapith has produced many outstanding students. Some have achieved top ranks in the Madhyamik Pariksha. Isha Roy, a student of Jadavpur Vidyapith, secured 12th rank in West Bengal in 2020. She scored 681 out of 700 in Madhyamik.

Jadavpur Vidyapith is ranked among the top 10 government day schools in India. This is according to the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2020-21.
