It transitioned to Daejeong Public School in 1961. Then on March 1, 1996, it became Daejeong Elementary School. Finally, on March 1, 1999, it adopted its current name: Bucheon Duksan Elementary School. The school expanded in 2005, adding five classrooms. In 2006, three more classrooms were added. A new principal, Kim Jeong-sik, arrived on September 1, 2007. The school’s 46th anniversary was celebrated on February 15, 2008. Bucheon Duksan Elementary School is more than just bricks and mortar.
