“Listening heart” is what the name Jeeum means. This phrase encapsulates the spirit of the Eunhye Gallery.

The Eunhye Gallery, with its Seoul roots, has subtly entered the art scene. The gallery’s president and art director, Shin Eunhye, started her art collection journey almost a decade ago. Finding new artists was the inevitable next step.

Since 2016, Gallery Jeeum has been bringing Korean artists to international art fairs. These fairs spanned the globe. They reached Beijing, New York, Taipei, Singapore, Brussels, and Hong Kong.

Shin Eunhye believes Hong Kong respects cultural diversity. Discovery Bay is one of the best places to develop the common language of art.

Shin Eunhye’s close-knit network of artists, art lovers, and collectors provided the perfect setting for her Hong Kong venture.

Eunhye Kang is a Seoul and New York-based installation artist. She decomposes spaces with lines. She tries to create negative volume using achromatic lines. She aims to represent abstract shapes and contours in spaces using division and proportion.

She was a resident at the Brooklyn Art Space in New York in 2014. Kang had her first solo exhibition in NYC in 2014. Artist Seo Eun-hye paints Korean wildflowers. She was selected to exhibit her work on the big screen in New York’s Times Square. Seo was selected as one of 12 artists from around the world. She participated in the ‘Art Forum: No Boundaries’ exhibition organized by Vision Art Media. She had the opportunity to display her work as video art.

This was the second year in a row that Seo was honored. She was the first Korean artist to be included in the exhibition last year.

Three works from her “Korean Wildflowers” series were on display. They included two from “Secret Flower Garden” and one from “Flower Outing.”

Seo composes wildflowers with Korean sentiments. She expresses them with Western painting techniques.

Seo received the Insadong People’s Artist of the Year Award in 2021. She is currently a steering committee member of the Busan Art Association. She is the president of the Busan chapter of the International Association of Contemporary Art.
