Pastor Aaron Grijalva felt a calling. He and his wife, Erica, packed their lives and moved to San Antonio in April 2017. Their mission was to plant a new church, a church that would become known as Rise Church. It wasn’t easy. There were challenges and uncertainties. Yet, with each divine connection and each new member joining their launch team, their faith grew stronger. Rise Church officially opened its doors on September 30, 2018, at Pedrotti’s Ranch. The name “Rise Church” is inspired by Isaiah 60:1, a verse that calls on believers to rise and shine in a darkening world. Rise Church in San Antonio isn’t just a building. It’s a beacon, reflecting the light of Jesus. It’s a community of people committed to spreading love and hope throughout the city and beyond. Rise Church aims to empower individuals to rise up in their own lives, carrying the light of Jesus into their communities and neighborhoods. They believe that through their actions, the world can become a brighter place, one act of kindness at a time. The church is led by Pastor Aaron Grijalva, a man driven by his faith and the desire to make a difference. He and his wife, Erica, continue to guide the congregation, fostering a spirit of unity and purpose. So, as you stand before Rise Church, remember the journey of faith that brought it into being. Remember the Grijalvas and their dedicated team. Remember the message of hope and light that emanates from within these walls.
