Parc Percy-Walters provides a community composting site. This park has an access way that is stroller-friendly.

Let’s talk about what Parc Percy-Walters offers. It features a children’s playground and a toddler playground. There is also a picnic area for you to enjoy. You’ll find a drinking fountain to quench your thirst. The park also has washrooms and a changing table for convenience.

Unfortunately, the park is temporarily closed during the winter. But usually, it is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm every day.

The address for Parc Percy-Walters is 40 Avenue McGregor. That’s in Montreal, QC H3G 2J8.

Some renovations are underway at Parc Percy-Walters. The city is investing 1.8 million dollars in repairing the stairs and fence on des Pins Avenue. The work paused for the winter but will continue in the spring of 2023.

During the renovations, the stairs are inaccessible. The sidewalk on the south side of des Pins Avenue is closed too. Some parking spots are unavailable on des Pins Avenue and Redpath Street.

Good news. The dog park remains open. Access it from the corner of du Docteur-Penfield and McGregor or south of Redpath Street.

Two trees with damaged roots need to be removed. Their root systems pose a safety risk during construction. They also threaten the wall’s integrity. Collection schedules will not change during the work.

Parc Percy-Walters has a long history. Parc Percy-Walters is documented in archival records dating back to the late 1800s. A 1971 plan shows Parc Percy-Walters in relation to other landmarks. These include Mount Royal Park and the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.

So, while the renovations may cause some temporary inconvenience, Parc Percy-Walters remains a vital part of Montreal. It is a place for recreation and relaxation. It is waiting for you again in the spring. Enjoy the fresh air and community spirit of Parc Percy-Walters.
