Right here stands the Swami Samartha Math. This temple inspires spiritual enlightenment. Its teachings are rooted in Shri Sadguru Balkrishna Maharaj Suratkar.

The Swami Samartha Math has a rich history. Shri Sadguru Balkrishna Maharaj Suratkar founded this Math in 1910. He established it in Dadar Mumbai. He also set up another Math at his Surat home in 1911.

Balkrishna Maharaj was born in Surat. His full name was Balkrishna Shivshankar Upadhye. He came from a Yajurvedi Brahmin family.

Balkrishna Maharaj moved to Mumbai for studies. He stayed with his cousin Shivshankar in Kalbadevi. His cousin was a Lord Shiva devotee. Balkrishna was influenced by Arya Samaj teachings. This disturbed his cousin.

Today the Swami Samartha Math is also known as Dadar Math. It was founded on May 29 1910. Shri Sadguru Balkrishna Maharaj Suratkar’s vision continues here.

This Math is over 115 years old. It remains a vital spiritual center. The temple opens until 10:00 pm.

The Swami Samartha Math is located near Shiv Sena Bhavan. You can find it on D L Vaidya Road. The Math is wheelchair accessible. It offers entrance and exit accessibility.

Another Shri Swami Samarth Math exists in Vile Parle East. It is opposite ICICI Bank. This branch was established in 2000. It has been in business for 25 years. This Math opens at 6:30 am.

However our focus is on the Dadar Math. It represents a legacy of faith. It embodies spiritual guidance. Balkrishna Maharaj’s teachings still resonate here.

Reflect on the Math’s long history as you stand here. Consider the generations who have sought solace here. The Swami Samartha Math remains a beacon of spirituality. Its doors are always open to those seeking enlightenment. This place continues to inspire. It shares wisdom. It fosters devotion.
