The Shenandoah Church of Christ, built with a solid foundation of faith and a mission to spread the Word, stands tall on Wurzbach Road. It’s a place where hope and faith converge, a beacon of light in the San Antonio landscape.
The story of Shenandoah Church of Christ began on February 15, 1970, with a small group of 23 people brought together by a shared desire to establish a church rooted in the Bible’s teachings. Guided by Frank Dunn, their vision was crystal clear: a congregation where faith was practiced, celebrated, and shared authentically. Over the years, the church flourished, expanding its influence and extending its reach.
It became a haven for countless individuals seeking spiritual guidance and fostered a strong sense of community. Shenandoah Church of Christ’s dedication to spreading the word extended beyond its walls, offering assistance to aspiring preachers and supporting missionaries in countries like India, Africa, and Mexico.
Today, with Bill Dorris and Raul Baltierra serving as elders and Minister Tim Ayers guiding the congregation, Shenandoah Church of Christ continues to fulfill its mission of spreading the Gospel and serving the community. This church embodies the spirit of unity, prayer, and hope, creating a vibrant community where faith blossoms and where individuals grow in their spiritual journey.
