Clutching your schoolbooks, feel the energy of Sekolah Kebangsaan Danau Perdana. It’s not just a school. It’s a story echoing through time. Sekolah Kebangsaan Danau Perdana first opened its doors on January 1st, 2002. Initially, it shared space with Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Desa, holding classes in the afternoons. Imagine the bustling hallways, two schools sharing one space. In January 2003, Sekolah Kebangsaan Danau Perdana moved into its own building on Jalan 1/109 F Taman Desa. Picture 265 students filling 9 classrooms, guided by 18 teachers. The first headmistress, Puan Hajah Siti Rabiah bt Haji Abd. Wahab, led the school for a year and seven months. Then, Encik Mukhtar bin Ibrahim took the reins until 2005, followed by Puan Chai Bee Hoon and finally, Puan Che Norizam bt Abdullah in 2006. From the beginning, Sekolah Kebangsaan Danau Perdana offered computer labs, special rooms, and remedial classes. The first cohort of students sat for the UPSR exam in 2004. The school quickly gained recognition, winning awards like the Eureka Competition’s runner-up prize in 2006 and first place in the English Storytelling Competition in 2007. However, 2004 brought an unexpected challenge. Cracks appeared in the building’s walls, forcing a temporary relocation back to Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Desa in 2005. A new building was planned next to Sekolah Menengah Desa Perdana. The school adopted the motto “Berilmu, Bermotivasi, Berinovasi” (Knowledgeable, Motivated, Innovative) reflecting its dedication to academic, co-curricular, and personal development. The school song echoes the pride and identity of Sekolah Kebangsaan Danau Perdana, a melody of ambition and achievement. Today, Sekolah Kebangsaan Danau Perdana stands as a testament to resilience, a place where education thrives amidst the vibrant tapestry of Kuala Lumpur.
