Is there anything more powerful than a community united by faith? Right here, in the heart of Houston, stands Calvary Community Church. A beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring power of belief. Calvary Community Church wasn’t always the sprawling hub it is today. It started as a modest home fellowship in 1991, founded by Pastor Ron Hindt. Driven by a vision of “Worship, Win, Disciple, and Send,” Pastor Hindt, a former rock musician in the Hollywood scene, felt a higher calling. He sought to create a space where people could connect with God through contemporary worship and deep dives into the scriptures. Word spread like wildfire through the community about this fresh, engaging approach to faith. Calvary Community Church blossomed, growing from its humble beginnings to a vibrant community serving thousands. And it’s not just about Sunday service! The church thrums with life throughout the week, offering a variety of ministries for men, women, youth, and children. Bible studies, prayer meetings, you name it, Calvary Community Church is a testament to the power of faith to bring people together.
