Imagine laying the cornerstone for a house of peace. It happened here at the Baitul Momin Mosque. This mosque stands as Münster’s first, a testament to faith and community.

Welcome to the Baitul Momin Mosque. It is more than just a building. It is a symbol of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat’s presence here.

In 2003, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat proudly opened the Baitul Momin Mosque. The mosque became Münster’s first. It marked a significant milestone for the community. The Baitul Momin Mosque is part of the 100 Mosques Plan.

The story began earlier. The community purchased the land for 127,000 DM. The location is in Hiltrup’s industrial area. It sits on a side street off the Hansestraße. The mosque is visible from the street. Other buildings surround it on three sides.

Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad initiated construction in August 2001. He laid the cornerstone. This act symbolized the beginning of a new spiritual home. The Baitul Momin Mosque became the first mosque of a parish in Germany.

Jamat Ahmadiyya Germany developed the blueprint. Architect Willigerd Hunz from Überlingen designed the mosque. Martin Vosseler from Tuningen handled the statics.

Inside the Baitul Momin Mosque, you’ll find prayer rooms. There is also a library and a common room. Three offices and a kitchen complete the structure. Two prayer rooms accommodate 220 worshippers.

Financing came from AMJ Deutschland. Interestingly, a local church in Münster contributed 100,000 DM. This shows interfaith support. Abdullah Wagishauser, chairman of AMJ Germany, opened the mosque. Guests included Günter Schulze-Blasum and Pastor Krause-Isermann.

The Baitul Momin Mosque is a place of worship. It is also a hub for community events. It hosts many activities. There is the Day of the Open Mosque. There are also lectures and exhibitions. These events foster understanding. They also promote integration.

The Baitul Momin Mosque embodies the Ahmadiyya motto: “Love for all, hatred for none.” It is a beacon of peace in Münster-Hiltrup. Its doors are open to all. The Baitul Momin Mosque welcomes those seeking knowledge, understanding, and community.

Take a moment to appreciate the Baitul Momin Mosque. Its presence enriches Münster. It represents faith, community, and the enduring spirit of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat.
