Can you imagine a rock shaped like an elephant? Here at Elephant Rock, you’ll see exactly that. Elephant Rock is a natural rock formation along the coast of South Korea. It’s not a long hike to reach it. But it’s steep and rocky in places. The trail starts with a staircase. Follow the path and you’ll see more stairs to the left. Keep going until you reach a four-way fork. Take the staircase directly in front of you. At the top, the trail forks again. Turn right, then left, heading downwards. This leads to a platform with resting spots. From there, follow the trail left to begin the final descent. It’s the steepest part, but leads to a beautiful rocky beach. Elephant Rock is to your right. For a better view, walk left along the beach towards the rocks stretching into the water. You can explore tidepools there and get stunning photos of Elephant Rock. Remember, bring a hiking backpack for small children. The trail is not stroller-friendly. Also, bring sunscreen. There’s little shade on the trail and beach. Even late in the day, the sun can be strong. Parking is free and there are no tolls on the route. So come and experience the wonder of Elephant Rock. It’s a perfect spot for an unforgettable adventure.
