Established in 1988, Redlands College isn’t just a school. It’s a living testament to a community’s vision for Christian education. Redlands College was founded by members of the Churches of Christ. They dreamed of a place where faith and learning intertwined. This dream blossomed into a vibrant reality. Redlands College began with just 91 students in Years 1–8. They were housed in temporary demountable buildings. Even then, the founders’ dedication was clear. They initiated a permanent building program in that very first year. Redlands College has grown significantly since its humble beginnings. Today, it caters to around 1,300 students from Prep to Year 12. The campus has evolved too. Redlands College now boasts a modern sports centre, a heated indoor swimming pool, and expansive ovals. A well-stocked library, computer labs, an expressive arts building, and a science centre enrich the learning environment. Redlands College has always been at the forefront of innovation. In 2011, it embraced the iPad Program as a teaching tool. This forward-thinking approach led to its recognition as an Apple Distinguished School. Redlands College maintains a strong focus on technology. It has also become an accredited eSmart School with The Alannah and Madeline Foundation. Redlands College’s curriculum emphasizes both intellectual and spiritual growth. From Prep to Year 12, religious studies classes are a cornerstone of the educational experience. The school’s commitment to a “Christ-centred excellence” permeates every aspect of its culture. Redlands College encourages students to “Be the Difference”. It empowers them to excel academically, creatively, and athletically. The school’s diverse co-curricular program offers opportunities for personal and social development. The dedication of Redlands College’s staff is evident in their commitment to nurturing each student’s potential. They strive to engage both the mind and heart, guiding students toward a flourishing life. Redlands College has faced challenges and controversies throughout its history. But the college has persevered. It continues to uphold its core values of faith, excellence, and service.
