Step inside Living Faith Lutheran Church, and you’ll discover a place where history and community intertwine. Standing here, surrounded by the warm embrace of this modern space, it’s hard to imagine that this church was once a vision, a dream held by two separate congregations. Living Faith wasn’t born overnight. It was the product of a beautiful merging, a coming together of the Lutheran churches of Sandgate and Petrie. Back in 2000, these two communities, united by their faith, decided to embark on a journey of creating something truly special. They envisioned a vibrant place of worship in the heart of Murrumba Downs, a growing neighborhood yearning for community and spiritual connection. The dream of Living Faith became a reality, and on April 2, 2000, the congregation was officially formed. A mere year later, on April 28, 2001, the doors to the impressive Worship Centre were flung open, a testament to the dedication and hard work of the community. Opening these doors also marked the start of a new chapter for the area, as it coincided with the establishment of Living Faith Lutheran Primary School. Living Faith, a beacon of faith and unity, has become a vital part of the Murrumba Downs landscape, reflecting the spirit of its people – a spirit of welcoming and sharing God’s love.
