Tucked away in the vibrant city of Detroit, Bethany Christian Church has a unique rhythm. It offers two distinct Sunday services. At 9:30 am, the traditional service fills the sanctuary with hymns and familiar symbols of faith. Later, on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, a contemporary urban service at noon provides a more modern worship experience. Bethany Christian Church understands the demands of modern life. They’ve designed the noon service for those who prefer a later start or want a less hurried morning with their children. The church building itself, located on Outer Drive East, has a convenient worship entrance just off Main Street. Guest parking is readily available to the left of the main entrance. Inside, the worship space is easily found directly ahead and to the left. Beyond the main services, Bethany Christian Church nurtures faith through a variety of programs. From September to May, they host “Faith Builder,” a weekly adult education class at 10:45 am. This hour-long session combines videos and group discussions, covering topics like comparative religions, decision-making, personal finance, and mental health recovery. For middle schoolers, “NextGen Faith Formation” also meets at 10:45 am on Sundays. This program delves into biblical truths and helps students apply these teachings to their lives. Bethany Christian Church also recognizes the importance of supporting men in their faith journey. “Men on Fire” gathers on the fourth Saturday of each month, focusing on godly manhood, fatherhood, and leadership. This multiethnic, multigenerational group encourages men to live out their faith and be agents of positive change.
