Amidst the rubber trees, a community blossomed. This is the story of Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Hòa Hiệp. In 1954, Father Đaminh Lê Duy Thức led a group of parishioners to their new home. They settled near tree number 6 in Hố Nai. Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Hòa Hiệp’s journey began. Father Đaminh purchased land from the Binh Trước rubber plantation. The land spanned 25.7 hectares. Two years later, a small church arose. It was built with simple materials and called Kẹt Sắt Khu II. This marked the official formation of the Kẹt Sắt Khu II community. It thrived under the guidance of Giáo xứ Kẹt Sắt I. In 1958, Kẹt Sắt Khu II became its own parish. It was then known as Giáo xứ Kẹt Sắt II. The following year, a new brick church replaced the original structure. In 2000, a name change reflected a new hope. Father Phaolô Maria renamed Giáo xứ Kẹt Sắt II to Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Hòa Hiệp. He envisioned a community living in peace and unity. Father Vincentê Trần Hải Ninh continued this work. From 2011 to 2012, the church, parish house, and other structures were built under his leadership. Today, Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Hòa Hiệp stands as a testament to faith and community. It’s a place where the spirit of unity and peace continues to thrive.
