What if I told you there’s a place in San Diego where the power of love and acceptance can heal everything? That place is Unity Christ Church. Here at Unity Christ Church, you’ll find a welcoming community exploring their relationship with God. This church isn’t just about Sundays. It’s a vibrant hub of spiritual growth, offering a variety of activities throughout the week.
Unity Christ Church’s mission is to empower personal growth. They achieve this through positive spiritual practices, inspirational music, and community service. Their vision is to transform lives and inspire positive change in the world. They hold a strong belief in manifesting spiritual oneness, guided by infinite wisdom and divine love.
Every Sunday at 10 am, the church comes alive with their main service. Their dynamic Music Director, Ron Councell, leads the Music Team and Unity San Diego Choir in uplifting performances. For those seeking deeper spiritual learning, an Adult Education class delves into “A Course in Miracles” at 9 am before the main service. Youth and Family Ministry also takes place at 10 am, providing age-appropriate spiritual education for young people aged 18 months to 18 years.
Beyond Sundays, Unity Christ Church offers a monthly Prayer-Meditation Service. On the second Wednesday of each month at 11 am, you can join them for an hour of prayer, meditation, and stillness. Need prayer support during the week? Their Prayer Ministry operates a call line with live support Monday through Friday, noon to 5 pm. You can also reach out to them via email.
The church fosters a sense of community through various ongoing activities. These include groups like Discovering Your Spiritual Power, Soul Sisters, Spirit Groups, the Unity San Diego Choir, and even Yoga. A physical and online bookstore provides a wealth of metaphysical resources. The church also hosts classes, workshops, and social activities. They even have a traditional and metaphysical library on-site.
Unity Christ Church’s core values are Spirit-led, Loving, Generous, Transformitive, Inclusive, and Authentic. Their strategic plan outlines goals for community outreach, facility modernization, new revenue streams, and spiritual growth opportunities. They aim to expand their reach through online platforms, community engagement classes, and facility upgrades. They also plan to enhance their revenue streams by expanding their bookstore presence, hosting events, and exploring various giving options. They are committed to fostering spiritual growth by building relationships with local Unity Churches, Centers for Spiritual Living, and Interfaith Groups. They also hope to expand their services, including potentially adding a Spanish-speaking ministry.
Unity Christ Church’s five basic principles are at the heart of their beliefs: There is only one Presence and one Power (God). Divinity dwells within every person. Prayer and meditation connect us with God. Thought has transformative power. Daily practice creates a blessed life. Here at Unity Christ Church, you’ll find a welcoming space to explore your spirituality and connect with a community that embraces love, acceptance, and personal growth.
