Remember Tamarack Beach has rules. No dogs are allowed except on a six-foot leash in the campground. Fires and alcohol or glass containers are prohibited. Vehicles aren’t allowed on the beach either.
Finding parking might require some searching. A small beachside lot is on the west side of Carlsbad Boulevard where Tamarack Avenue intersects. More parking can be found along Carlsbad Boulevard and nearby residential streets. Ponto Beach just south of the campground has a pay lot. The beachfront closest to it is for surfing only.
